What to Bring

At Serenity Hills Life Center, we believe that focusing on the whole person, treating you with respect and dignity are important parts of your treatment. For you to focus on your recovery and healing, we invite you to rebuild your self-respect and dignity in our safe and beautiful environment. We also ask you to consider the ways in which you carry and care for yourself, as well as those also in the process of healing. Listed below are general DOs and DON’Ts of packing for your treatment experience at Serenity Hills. No cash is allowed at the facility. We will provide hygiene products.

Please bring your items in a plastic-only container or garbage bags


What to Bring:

  • Comfortable, casual attire – Laundry facility onsite
  • Exercise clothing – Gym shorts/shirts and sneakers
  • Weather appropriate outerwear
  • Medications – Bring your existing prescribed medications in the original bottles or your prescriptions.
  • Picture ID
  • Insurance and /or prescription card
  • For self-pay – Method of payment, credit card or cashiers’ check for amount agreed to during the pre-admission phone assessment
  • Only thing allowed is 10 days’ worth of clothing.

What NOT to Bring:

  • Alcohol or non-prescription/illegal drugs
  • Cigarettes or Electronic Vapor Cigarettes
  • Over the counter medications or vitamins
  • Cell phones, tablets, cameras, laptops or computers, radios or any electronics
  • No powder of any kind
  • Perfumes, anything with alcohol or any products at all
  • Guns, knives, lighters, matches or any item that can be used as a weapon
  • Inappropriate or revealing clothing, including short shorts; pants that hang below the normal waist, revealing underwear; any clothing with drug or alcohol logos/graphics
  • Food, candy or drinks
  • No hair dryers, curling irons or hairbrushes.
  • No books, paper, pens or pencils
  • Jewelry
  • Makeup
