A Typical Day in Treatment
Serenity Hills Life Center wants this to be a positive experience for every resident. We strive to make you feel at home and welcomed. You will be surrounded by a caring and compassionate staff and a dedicated multidisciplinary team, who will work together to help you in your recovery. Our program is comprehensive, well-coordinated and balanced with time for reflection, recreation and personal growth. A typical day begins at sunrise, with lights out at 10:00 pm on weekdays, and at 11:00 pm on weekends. Each day residents participate in various treatment components, such as:
Morning
- Process groups
- Group therapy
- Educational groups
- Goal setting
- Family education
- Parenting classes
- Evidence-based curriculum classes
Afternoon
- 12-Step meetings onsite (three times a week)
- Self-Inventory
- Wellness and fitness
- Crafts/art
- Activities/games
- Free time
- Peer support (once a week)
- Individual counseling (once or twice a week)
- Educational and job training (if a chosen elective)
- Yoga
- Massage therapy (when available)
- Meeting with your case manager (once a week)
- Residential meeting (once a week)
Evenings
- Structured free time
Serenity Hills Life Center provides weekend activities, family visits (after the blackout period), structured events, supervised outings, chore time, volunteer outings, church services and supervised free time.
